And then one day you find ten years have got behind you

Hey. It's Entropy. 10 years later. And what would be better than seeing some behind the scenes junk?
Entropy X was really cool because it was the first (and last ever) time that things were *really* planned out. Different takes, scene changes, sketches written in advance.. oh this led to so much that we needed to cut out.

So I present the following series of 'Entropy X mush'

aka. deleted scenes and bloopers. Because episode 11 will (never) happen.
(until BmcD moves to New England)

Here is the mush so far:

Episode 2: Todd

Episode 3: SHS Boathouse

Episode 4: GOLF

more to come. sooner or later depending on enthusiasm.

I have to re-edit entropy X for air at umass and shrewsbury. there is going to be some changes in music, but it will basically be the same. im looking at 3 1/2 hour episodes, and that includes airing the bloopers. im also planning on putting out the flo show, a umass prank show and umass cribs 282 puffton, all under the ran-dom productions title. its gonna be a hell of a time.

hard core editing tonight
good news and bad news

good news first:

completely done (except evening out the audio levels)

mountian dew
dog statue transition
foot 1
foot 2
how to haggle
put it in me
harvard
homework help
history of the world
hitler pizza (no graphics)
nintendo
reverse trashman
treewashing

GRAND TOTAL OF 23:19

still to add:
behind the story - more pfisters lines, an ending
action news - the weather drawing, intro graphic
entropy intro
the credits
bin ladin burritos (voiceover and add graphics)
an ellen feiss or two
tree tree
walking
vacume
TOO MANY GREGS (record guitar)
bog dylan
james in the chair
jumping (10 WHOLE seconds)
stop click scrabble
eagle->dream killers->hard work
hard work 2

WHATS MISSING!!!!!
dungeons and dragons - may need to go back to shrewsbury to find the HI-8 tape
gregs not gay roomate - may need to go back to shrewsbury to find the HI-8 tape
wifebeaters - have it here, just need to capture it
zack's ellen feiss (deleted scene?) may need to go back to shrewsbury to find the HI-8 tape

so in conclusion:
including all the stuff that we are actually using AND the stuff we already know that we arent, we probably have (guessing) 80-85 minutes of footage....
its much better than i hoped.... still pushing for audio commentary before its actually released...
there are some other cool extras too.. but im gonna save that stuff for a suprise..

BAD NEWS: stuff is missing and its gonna take some effort to get those crucial scenes back. i fucking hate HI-8 tapes.

the pics will explain our progress today:

Tuesday, August 12, 2003

worked on the song for the bob dylan parody, made like 78 cue cards today and filmed a video game sketch at kevs. gonna film a lot tomorrow i hope

Wednesday, July 30, 2003

i was watching the ac and tully show on spac and it gave me the motivation to film something new tonight.
2 and a half hours later, i have a 1 minute 20 second clip that i think is pretty good, and will work well as a buffer between sketches.

Sunday, July 27, 2003

well, filmed about 6 seconds of video (greggs intro)
and started recording the bob dylan parody.

Monday, July 21, 2003

hwang was home from new york for one day, so we were able to film his missing scene in behind the story.
also planned a bob dylan parody. short but sweet. sometimes it seems like fate is smiling on entropy X.

Saturday, July 19, 2003

possibly the most successful filming day so far.
about 7 hours of on-task filming
did 3 of kevs lines for behind the story
bens missing drug addict scene for behind the story
kevs intro scene
eds grandfathers scene in 'history of the world'
PANTS - written by ben
mr palm interview, starring yours truly
a bunch of news segments with ed
the foot speaks again
bin ladin burritos
and a bunch of stuff for 'put it in me'
jumping (10 seconds but really awesome)

lots of editing and photoshopping to do, but it should all look good.

history of the world is just about done and is 3 minutes 20 seconds
at last check behind the story is 9 minutes 18 seconds (not done yet)
put it in me will be 1 minute 42 seconds
all the other crud i have no idea until i sit down for like 54 hours and edit

Tuesday, July 15, 2003

nothing was actually created or worked on today. i did try to make a stop-click banana peeling itself and getting eaten, but it looked stupid. but i did go through 'behind the story' and map out exactly just what needed to be filmed. so its easier to do later.

although i was watching dave callihans senior exhibition on SPAC today and was suprised when he made a refrence to us when he was explaining different kinds of humor. I think he also said that we were famous. someone get back to me if this is actually true.

Monday, July 14, 2003

No filming today, but i photoshopped a picture that will be used in 'behind the story'

Ed Edd Ede: hey i also had a vision
Ed Edd Ede: when it says that ppl were getting fed up there is like 8 sec of black
Ed Edd Ede: i have 9 monitors
Ed Edd Ede: we film one being dragged behind a car
Ed Edd Ede: and us smashing it

Entropy has finally joined all those cool kids who have blogs.

There hasnt been much updating to the web site because I am still using 56k at home, which makes doing any work at all a real pain. When I get back to umass in the fall there should be some new videos on the site.

As for Entropy X, it is going extremely well.
We are putting some of the greatest effort into this episode - Spending countless hours of work to get SECONDS of footage. Fortunatly, the end result is pure gold. The behind the music parody is moving along, and is 8 minutes 30 seconds so far. But its missing a lot of video. It should be around 10 minutes when it is complete.

We filmed with Ben yesterday, which is near impossible because he spends his entire life working. In addition to Behind the Story, we filmed more scenes to complete 'History of the world filmed in real time' and Seagull who thinks hes an Eagle --> Dream Killers ---> Hard work.

We also filmed some stuff for the 'Put it in me Sketch' - which features a techno song written in Frootyloops by Ed.

Hopefully we will be filming some of Todd and Kevins lines tomorrow at frisbee.

There will definatly be a DVD.. with loads of bloopers, deleted scenes (some of which will not actually suck), and whatever else we can throw together. Im thinking somewhere in the area of 5 dollars. not bad, id say.
